TIR
TIR
Rooftop-Mounted Indirect Fired Product
The Temprite outdoor TIR unit offers complete flexibility to the engineer and owner to meet any rooftop-mounted design need. Controls can be set up for space heating, make-up air or a combination of both. DX or chilled water cooling coils are optional. The standard indirect fired space heater is a horizontal curb-mounted unit. CFM range is 4,000 to 46,000.
Optional cooling capacities range from 5 to 180 tons and heating output capacities range from 250,000 to 2,500,000 BTUH

Outside Air Intake Hood
Limit Entrainment of Rain or Critters
The optional TIR intake hood is designed for air intake velocities of under 450 FPM in order to limit the possibility of rain entering the space. In addition, the intake hood comes with a built-in bird screen to help keep unwanted visitors out of the building. The hood can even include a filter rack for washable filters to preclean the air before even entering the unit.
4-Pass Drum and Tube Heat Exchanger
Maximum Heat Transfer Surface Area
The Temprite TIR system 4-pass heat exchanger consists of a large primary section and a secondary section of multiple tubes depending on the capacity you require. The sections are connected via collector boxes at the ends of each pass. The primary section of the heat exchanger is manufactured of 400 series stainless steel and secondary section is manufactured of mild steel standard or 400 series stainless steel optional. The primary section is rolled, and seam welded in the Mestex factory in Dallas. All seams are continuous welded in the factory and tested for leaks. The primary section has a pressure relief and visual inspection port. The secondary section includes a condensation drain port.
Induced Draft Fan
Venting Combustion Products to the Atmosphere
A direct drive motor spins the fan in the induced draft assembly and vents the combustion products to the atmosphere. The entire assembly (less the moror itself) is manufactured in the Dallas factory. The fan is of a non-clogging, radial blade design. The assembly also includes a manual damper with locking quadrant so that it can be adjusted during the startup process to assure proper induction.
Powered Combustion Burner
Efficient Air/Fuel Mixing and Combustion
The combustion burner has an integral blower and motor, air proving switch, and pilot assembly. There is also a combustion air damper that is interlocked with the gas control valve in order to produce the proper air/fuel mixture throughout the operating range.
Factory Assembled Gas Train
Tested and Ready to Fire
The factory wired and assembled gas train consists of low pressure gas regulator, motorized gas control valve, main gas shutoff valve, pilot pressure regulator, and pilot gas shutoff valve. The burner controls can be On/Off, Hi/Low/Off, or Fully Modulating.
DX or Chilled Water Coil Option
Cooling Plus Efficient Heat
Temprite TIR units offer great versatility in terms of application. In cases where you need to provide cooling in addition to heating in a large make-up air unit (up to 50,000 cfm) the TIR can be ordered with a coil module. The 36" deep coil module is located downstream of the filter section and upstream of the fan. This configuration provides sufficient space for a 304 stainless steel drain pan and for more fully developed flow over the coil. The coil section is insulated to minimize temperature loss.
